Air source
Air source heat pumps are one of the leading low carbon alternatives to traditional high carbon heating systems.
Air source heat pumps work by drawing in outside air through the unit and converting it to heat using a refrigeration process, which can be used to provide heat for radiators, underfloor heating and domestic hot water.
Ground source
Ground source heat pumps use coiled pipes that are buried underground to extract heat from the ground. This is then used to heat radiators, underfloor heating or warm air heating systems.
HVO
HVO stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil and is also known as renewable diesel. It’s a fossil-free paraffinic diesel fuel that can be used as a direct replacement for mineral diesel with up to 90% lower net CO2 emissions. Derived from certified waste materials HVO therefore supports the circular economy.
Underfloor Heating
Under floor heating distributes a low temperature of warm water through a network of pipes embedded in the floor. The heat is regulated by thermostats to maintain the temperature where ever it is installed. A lower temperature is needed compared to conventional radiators as the heat is evenly distributed across a larger area.
Solar PV
Installing a domestic solar electric system (also known as photovoltaics, or PV) will turn your home into your own personal solar power station, generating carbon free electricity to feed your property with solar during the daylight and store any excess in batteries for your own use in the evenings – reducing your reliance on the grid and lowering your bills. With the smart export guarantee, you get paid an export tariff for the surplus electricity you don’t use, that is exported to the national grid.
Battery Storage
Battery storage further secures your energy independence by providing you with power when the sun goes down and certain models can provide backup power in case of grid interruption. Allowing you to maximize self-consumption, excess PV power is stored in a battery and can be used at night.
EV Car chargers
MAP install EV charge points using only reputable brands. If you have, or are considering solar, then some EV charge points have the option to allow you to charge the electric vehicle directly from excess solar power.
MVHR
Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery is an advanced system that efficiently circulates and filters indoor air while recovering heat from outgoing air to enhance energy efficiency and maintain a healthier indoor environment.
